Book 25, Question 34
Why do roundabouts help traffic flow?
In a roundabout, cars go around a circle in one direction and yield to traffic already in it.
Because all vehicles enter at a gentle angle and slow down, the crashes that do happen tend to be less serious than at crossings. Traffic keeps moving without waiting for red lights, which also saves fuel. Roundabouts need space, so they don't fit everywhere.
