Book 25, Question 21
How are old buildings taken down safely?
When a building is no longer needed, crews plan carefully.
They remove materials that could be harmful, then take the building apart piece by piece from the top using machines or by hand. Most of the concrete, steel, glass, and wood can be sorted and recycled. Experts set up fences and sprays to keep dust and noise low. It is the building process played backward.
