Book 24, Question 110
Why do some wells run dry?
Wells run dry when the water table drops below the bottom of the well. This can happen in a drought when little rain soaks in, or when more water is pumped out than gets refilled. The water table sinks, and shallow wells go dry first. People can dig deeper wells or save water.
