Book 24, Question 32
How can a worm sense the world without eyes?
Worms have no eyes, but their skin has special cells that sense light, so they can tell dark from bright. They also feel vibrations, touch, and chemicals. These senses help them avoid dry sunny spots and find food and mates. A worm's skin must stay damp, so it moves away from light and heat to stay safe.
