What Is Jet Lag?
Your body has a clock inside. Flying far can confuse that clock. That mixed-up feeling is jet lag! Your body has an internal clock for sleep and wake.

- Jet lag is a short-lived sleep problem that can happen after flying across more than three time zones.
- It happens because your body's inner clock still runs on the time back home.
- Your inner clock needs time to catch up to the new day and night.
- Jet lag can cause trouble sleeping, headaches and stomach aches.
- Flying east usually causes worse jet lag than flying west.
- Some people, especially children, may not notice any problems at all.
