How Tall Does a Hill Have to Be to Become a Mountain?

There is no perfect rule for how tall a hill must be to become a mountain! Many maps call land a mountain when it rises about 1,000 feet, or 300 meters, above the land around it. Lower bumps are called hills, and mountains are usually steeper.
