Book 10, Question 35
Why Do You Cough When Something Goes Down the Wrong Way?
You cough when something goes down the wrong way because a cough is a quick blast of air that pushes things out! It clears food or drink from your windpipe and protects your lungs. If you cannot breathe or cannot stop coughing, tell a grown-up right away.
