Which mammal dads help care for their babies?

What Crafty Clover says in this video

Intro

Hi there, curious minds! I'm Crafty Clover! Let's discover something amazing. Which mammal dads help care for their babies?

The Big Idea

Mothers usually raise mammal babies. But some dads help too! Which ones?

Marmoset Dads

Step one: Marmoset Dads. In many mammals, the mother does most of the work, but some dads help. Male marmosets carry their babies around on their backs.

Fox Dads

Step two: Fox Dads. Red fox fathers bring food to the den. That lets the mother stay close to the young kits and keep them warm and safe.

Main Caretakers

Step three: Main Caretakers. Some monkey dads are the main caretakers. Helping raise babies gives the young more care and a better chance to grow up.

A Closer Look

Let's take a closer look! Carry. Bring food. Main helpers. More of it.

Quick Facts

Quick facts! In some monkeys, dads carry babies most of the day. Fox dads bring food. Marmoset dads give piggyback rides. More care gives better chances.

Think Like a Scientist

Now, think like a scientist! Interview a family member. Ask how they take care of someone smaller. Write down their answers. Draw a picture of what they do. Thank them!
