Book 26, Question 110 · Video
What do waterproof ratings like IP67 mean?
IP stands for ingress protection. The first number tells how well a product keeps out dust, and the second tells how well it keeps out water. IP67, for example, means dust-tight and able to be under about one meter of water for 30 minutes. A higher number means better protection, but it does not mean a device is waterproof forever.
