What Crafty Clover says in this video

Intro

Hi there, curious minds! I'm Crafty Clover! Let's discover something amazing. Which inventions did people once say would never work?

The Big Idea

Some great inventions were laughed at first! People said they would never work. Let's see which ones.

Flying

Step one: Flying. Some people said that machines heavier than air could never fly. Then the Wright brothers' first flight in 1903 lasted twelve seconds.

Telephones

Step two: Telephones. Others thought telephones were just toys. Now almost everyone has a phone.

Keep Trying

Step three: Keep Trying. New ideas can seem strange, and it takes tests and time to prove them. Good inventors listen to criticism, improve their ideas, and keep trying.

A Closer Look

Let's take a closer look! Planes did fly. Phones were useful. Cars took over. Computers spread.

Quick Facts

Quick facts! Early planes and cars were once called impractical by some. First flight: 12 seconds. Listen to criticism. Keep improving and trying.

Think Like a Scientist

Now, think like a scientist! Ask a family member about a gadget they once thought was silly. Do they use it every day now? Ask why they changed their mind. Draw the gadget. Write what they said.

Outro

Many inventions were once doubted, like airplanes before the Wright brothers' 12-second flight and telephones called toys. Good inventors listen, improve, and keep trying. So if someone doubts your idea, keep testing! Science is amazing! Keep wondering and keep exploring! Share what you learned with someone at home, and see what they think!
