What Crafty Clover says in this video

Intro

Hi there, curious minds! I'm Crafty Clover! Let's discover something amazing. Why do inventors keep notebooks?

The Big Idea

Inventors keep a secret weapon in their pockets. It's a notebook! Let's find out why.

Remembering

Step one: Remembering. Notebooks help inventors remember their ideas, experiments, and surprises. Memories fade, but notes stay.

Details

Step two: Details. They write dates, sketches, and notes about what worked and what didn't. This helps them repeat a lucky accident, check mistakes, and show others how they did it.

Edison

Step three: Edison. Thomas Edison filled thousands of notebooks. Your own notebook can be a treasure of ideas.

A Closer Look

Let's take a closer look! Write the date. Draw a sketch. Add notes. List new questions.

Quick Facts

Quick facts! Edison left behind about 3,500 notebooks. Notes help repeat results. Mistakes teach lessons. Sketch your ideas.

Think Like a Scientist

Now, think like a scientist! Start an inventor's notebook. Write today's date at the top. Add a sketch of something you tried today. Write a note about what happened. Add one question for tomorrow.
