What Jobs Help Keep Mountains Safe and Fun?

What Crafty Clover says in this video

Intro

Hi there, curious minds! I'm Crafty Clover! Let's discover something amazing. What jobs help keep mountains safe and fun?

The Big Idea

Lots of different jobs help keep mountains safe and fun. Each person helps visitors enjoy the mountains and helps protect the land, the plants, and the animals. Let's meet some of the mountain helpers.

Protectors

Step one: wardens and guides. Park wardens protect wildlife and help visitors, and mountain guides lead trips with special training and gear. In Canada's mountain parks, wardens look after huge areas.

Snow and Slopes

Step two: snow and slope jobs. Ski patrollers check the slopes, and avalanche forecasters study the snow. Lift operators run the lifts safely, so riders get up and down smoothly.

Builders and Scientists

Step three: builders and scientists. Trail crews build and repair paths, and they clear fallen trees after storms. Scientists watch the weather, glaciers, and animals to learn how mountains change.

A Closer Look

Let's take a closer look at mountain jobs! A park warden protects wildlife. A ski patroller checks slopes. A trail crew keeps paths strong. And a scientist studies how mountains change.

Quick Facts

Quick facts! Park wardens in Canada's mountain parks look after huge areas. Every job is part of a team, and teams talk to each other by radio. They train for years to learn mountain skills. You could be a mountain helper someday, with training, practice, and a love of nature.
