Why Does the Sky Look Purple Before a Storm?
Sometimes the sky turns a moody purple before wild weather arrives. Thick storm clouds and tiny bits in the air scatter and soak up sunlight in odd ways. That mixes unusual colors, including purplish tones, and that is why the sky can look purple!
