Book 33, Question 100
Whose claws are the longest of any living mammal?
The giant armadillo has the longest claws of any living mammal.
The claw on each front foot can be about eight inches long, about as long as a banana. It uses these claws to dig into hard ground and open termite mounds. The armadillo lives in South America. It is shy and active at night, so few people ever see one.
