Book 32, Question 135
How can people help a turtle cross the road?
If you see a turtle in the road, tell a grown-up.
If it is safe, the adult can carry it across in the same direction it was heading. If the turtle goes back the other way, it will just try to cross again. Large snapping turtles can bite, so leave them to experts. Always put safety first, and never stop in traffic.
