Book 32, Question 25
Why are a snake’s insides long and skinny?
A snake’s body is a long tube, so its organs have to fit inside in a line.
Instead of sitting side by side as yours do, the organs are stretched and staggered one behind another. In many snakes, the right lung is long and the left one is very small. The stomach can stretch to hold a big meal. The body is a clever fit.
