Book 31, Question 130
What is a field guide, and how do you use it?
A field guide is a book or app with pictures and facts about birds.
It groups similar birds together, such as ducks, hawks, and sparrows, and shows maps of where each kind lives. If you spot a bird, first decide its group, then compare pictures, notice details, and read the notes about its sounds and habits. With practice, you will learn to find birds faster.
