Book 31, Question 115
What do birds do when it rains?
Birds usually find shelter under thick leaves, branches, or in cavities.
Their feathers are layered like shingles, and the oil they spread on them helps shed water. Light rain doesn’t bother many birds, and some even enjoy it. In heavy storms, birds sit tight, save energy, and wait. Seabirds can keep floating on the rough ocean surface.
