Book 31, Question 102
Why do so many birds stay together in a flock?
There is safety in numbers.
With many eyes watching, someone is likely to spot trouble and give a warning. A moving crowd can also confuse a hunter that is trying to focus on a single bird. In a flock, birds can find food faster by watching where others land. Staying together also gives each bird more time to eat and less time to look around.
