Book 30, Question 64
What are the three kinds of plants in a pond?
Pond plants come in three main types.
Submerged plants, like pondweed, live entirely underwater. Floating plants, like duckweed, sit on the surface. Emergent plants grow with their roots in the water and their leaves and flowers in the air. Each type gives different animals food and shelter. Together, they keep the water healthy.
