Book 30, Question 41
What is a lake breeze?
On a hot sunny day, land heats faster than the lake.
The air above the land warms and rises, and cooler air from over the lake flows in to take its place, making a refreshing breeze. At night, the land cools faster than the lake, and the breeze may blow the other way. That's why beaches often feel cooler than inland towns.
