Book 29, Question 79
What are the signs of a thirsty potted plant?
Push a finger about an inch into the soil.
If it feels dry, it's time to water. If it's damp, wait. Wilting leaves can also signal thirst, but they sometimes wilt from heat even when soil is moist. In pots, lift the container: a dry pot feels much lighter. Learning your plants' signs helps you give just the right amount.
