Book 29, Question 11
How deep should you plant a seed?
A good rule is to plant a seed about two or three times as deep as the seed is wide.
Big seeds like beans go deeper, about an inch. Tiny seeds like lettuce and carrots need only a light sprinkle of soil, or are pressed lightly on the surface. If planted too deep, a sprout may run out of energy before reaching the surface.
