Book 28, Question 97
What happens when you sprain an ankle?
A sprain is when a ligament, the strong band that connects bones, gets stretched too far.
The ankle may swell, hurt, and be hard to walk on. If you have a sprain, stop playing and tell a grown-up. Resting, putting a cold pack wrapped in cloth on it, wrapping it gently, and raising the foot can help. A doctor can check how serious it is.
