Book 28, Question 76
How do muscles get stronger with practice?
When you work your muscles hard, they get small, harmless stresses.
During rest and with food and sleep, your body repairs them and builds them back a little stronger, ready for the next challenge. In kids, much of the early strength gain comes from the brain and nerves learning to use muscles better. Slow, regular practice works better than doing too much at once.
