Book 28, Question 69
How do relay runners pass the baton at full speed?
In a relay, the next runner begins running before the incoming teammate arrives, so both are moving fast when the baton is passed.
They must hand it over inside a marked zone about 20 meters long. The runners practice the timing until it is a smooth habit. Dropping the baton or passing outside the zone can lose the race, so teamwork matters as much as speed.
