Why didn't my crystals grow?
Don't worry: crystals can be tricky.
If no crystals show up, maybe too little salt was dissolved, or the water hasn't evaporated yet. If you only get a thin crust, it may have dried too fast. If the crystals are cloudy or tiny, the jar may have been bumped or cooled quickly. Try again with more dissolved material, more patience, and a still spot.
