Book 27, Question 115
What is graphene, and why is it special?
Graphene is a single layer of carbon atoms arranged in a honeycomb pattern, just one atom thick.
It is incredibly strong for its weight, bends, and conducts electricity well. In 2004, scientists in England first peeled graphene from graphite using sticky tape, winning the Nobel Prize in 2010. Researchers are exploring it for batteries, screens, and filters.
