Book 27, Question 97
What everyday things are made from minerals?
Minerals are in many things around you.
Table salt is a mineral called halite. Drywall is made from gypsum. Glass is made from quartz sand. Pencils use graphite. Baby powder is made of talc. Aluminum cans come from a rock called bauxite. Phones need minerals for their metals and parts. Without minerals, we wouldn't have buildings, tools, or computers.
