Book 27, Question 17
How small can a crystal be?
Crystals can be tiny, down to just a few nanometers wide.
A nanometer is a billionth of a meter, tens of thousands of times thinner than a human hair. These nanocrystals can act differently from large ones, glowing different colors depending on their size. Some TV screens use tiny crystals called quantum dots to make bright colors.
