How can a sketch help you explain your idea?
A sketch shows your idea without needing many words.
Draw it from the front, side, and top. Add arrows to show motion, and labels to show parts. A sketch doesn't have to be pretty; it just has to be clear. Showing a drawing to others helps them give useful feedback and may reveal problems you hadn't noticed.
