Book 26, Question 116
Why do companies sometimes recall products?
A recall happens when a company or government learns a product may be unsafe after it has been sold.
The maker asks people to stop using it and offers a repair, replacement, or refund. Recalls are common for toys with small parts or loose magnets, baby seats, bikes, and cars with faulty parts. In Canada, you can check for recalls on a government website. A recall is a way of fixing a mistake.
