Book 26, Question 98
What makes one invention succeed and another fail?
Successful inventions usually solve a real problem, are easy to use, cost a fair price, and arrive at the right time.
Many good ideas fail because they are too expensive, too complicated, or too early for the technology to support them. Sometimes a rival product is simply more convenient. Testing with real users helps inventors find these problems before launching.
