Book 26, Question 50
How did a cat's tongue inspire a better hairbrush?
A cat's tongue is rough because it has tiny hooked spines.
They are shaped like little scoops and help the cat clean and groom its fur. Scientists used a microscope and a 3D printer to copy these spines. They designed a brush that cleans itself, because tangles slide off the barbs. Even something as small as a tongue can inspire an invention.
