Book 25, Question 132
How do planners decide where a new school or park should go?
Planners count how many families and children live nearby and look at the distances people would need to walk.
A common goal is to place parks and schools within a short walk, about ten minutes, for most families. They also check whether the roads are safe and whether there is enough land. They ask neighbors for their ideas too.
