What should happen to old phones and computers?
Old electronics, called e-waste, contain valuable metals like copper and gold, and some materials that should not end up in a landfill.
Many places have special drop-off events or stores that collect them for recycling or repair. Never throw batteries in the trash, since they can start fires. Giving working devices to someone who needs them is the best choice.
