Book 25, Question 120
How do street sweepers clean the road?
A street sweeper has round brushes underneath that spin and sweep dirt toward the middle.
A conveyor or vacuum lifts the debris into a storage bin. Sprays of water keep dust from rising. Sweepers keep litter, sand, and leaves out of the storm drains and rivers. They often work at night or early in the morning when there is less traffic.
