How can plants grow up the side of a building?
A living wall or green wall is a wall covered with plants.
The plants grow in panels that hold soil or special fabric, and a hidden system of pipes waters them. Plants on walls can cool buildings, soak up noise, and brighten a street. Some are inside, in places like airports and malls. Gardeners must take care of the plants as they would any garden.
