What should you do if you meet a wild animal in the city?
Stay calm and give the animal plenty of space.
Watch from a distance and never try to touch, feed, or chase it. Back away slowly, and keep pets on leashes. Tell a grown-up about the animal. Wild animals can scratch or bite if they are frightened, and feeding them teaches them to depend on people, which is not safe for them.
