Why Does the Rainforest Smell Earthy and a Little Sweet?
The rainforest smell comes from busy recycling. Fallen leaves, wood, and fruit are broken down by fungi and bacteria, which release smelly gases. Flowers and fruit add sweet smells to the mix.
