Why Does a Makeup Mirror Make Your Face Look Bigger?
A makeup or shaving mirror curves inward, like the inside of a spoon. When your face is close, the curve spreads out the reflection into a big, upright picture. Move farther back, and the picture shrinks and flips upside down.
